Due to an unique collaboration all trainings are approved and certified by the Greenlight Group of the Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC).

The module Upper & Lower GI Anastomosis has been developed for anyone who wants to starts with perfusion assessment by Fluoresce Technology to lower risk of Anastomotic Leakage after Colon or Esophagus-, Gastro surgery.

We discuss the current state of affairs regarding Anastomotic leakage. After the training you will have sufficient knowledge of Fluorescence Guided Surgery to implement this amazing innovation in your own daily practice. You know the meaning and approach of FGS in relation to the perfusion characteristics of the Gastro-Intestinal system, and recognize discrepancies.  You can transfer knowledge into a standardised procedure. You recognize pitfalls and know how to anticipate.

Both ICG and NIR sensitive cameras are available worldwide. The basic principles of fluorescence apply to all dyes and cameras. Specific information about ICG is based on Indocyanine Green from Diagnostic Green, which is available in more than 60 countries.
